Marketing Plan

The aim of a marketing plan is to ensure that the objectives involved when marketing a product are achieved effectively. Objectives specify what the Virginia Theatre is trying to achieve. This plan aims to specify marketing objectives and formulate marketing strategies as well as explain why and how the marketing objectives are driven by the analysis of the internal and external operating environment of Virginia Theatre.
On analysis of the operating environments, some objectives have been specified
Work on establishing several theatres therefore having multiple shows simultaneously so as to create an opportunity to generate more revenue by attracting large crowds.

Advertise about the various types of films Virginia Theatre has since people look to them as a source of entertainment due to the current recession.

Come up with a method to regulate the prices since they may rise due to the current economic crisis.
From these objectives some strategies have been formulated in order to enable the firm to gain competitive advantage by pooling resources together to create organizational capabilities. With this, since the Virginia Theatres product is entertainment, the organization should create opportunities to attract different types of people by diversifying the types of shows.

In order to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage, some strategies have been formulated according to the 4Ps (Price, Promotion, Place, and Product) (Baker and Susan 463)
Since people have turned to film as entertainment due to the recession, the organization should promote film by advertising within the area the variety of films that are available and lower the prices to attract more customers.

In order to improve the establishments revenue, the donations provided should be used to expand it thus promoting it by adding several infrastructures that will attract customers who are looking for entertainment. The customers will also be attracted by the low prices.

Promoting the Virginia Theatre to the people in the surrounding area by using fliers to advertise the facilities offered will result in customer loyalty. Since there are no other theatres in the area that can hold as many people as the Virginia Theatre, the opportunity should be utilized to ensure that more people are attracted.
In conclusion, the marketing plan would be successful in implementation when the objectives specified are applied effectively by evaluating the internal and external environments so as to achieve a competitive advantage.
